What Do We Do?
Desert Rose provides emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault along with their dependent children. We believe in making personal connections with our clients to empower them to make changes to their lives, and our programming is designed to promote a one-on-one relationship with each client that we serve. Our clientele includes both residential and non-residential clients. Recognizing a growing need for clients who require victim services but not necessarily the safety of the shelter environment, Desert Rose’s dedicated staff have expanded services for non-residents, and we continue to see this need. Upon initial contact, we establish a safety plan with each client and make updates as needed as circimstances evolve. Additionally, we offer a wide variety of life skills classes to our residents. Desert Rose also provides therapeutic counseling, legal advocacy, and case management to residential and non-residential clients. Our goal is to build long-lasting relationships with our clients to break down their needs and watch them succeed. Over the long term, clients work toward establishing stability and self-sufficiency to build a life for themselves and their families free of violence and abuse.
